Entrepreneur Tip Of The Week:
If it doesn’t take time and challenge you, it’s not worth having—in business and life.
Listen, if you’re looking for quick wins or an easy ride, you’re in the wrong game. The best things in life—whether it’s building a business empire, chasing your dreams, or even getting a tattoo that means something—don’t come easy. They take time, they push you, they cause pain, they challenge you and sometimes they’ll make you question why you started in the first place. But that’s exactly why they’re worth it.
I was in Bali recently, and I made a stop at Radius Tattoo Bali to add another piece to my collection, featuring baby smelly. This wasn’t just about getting inked; it was a reminder that anything meaningful in life takes time, effort, and a whole lot of grit. Just like that tattoo process—hours of work, patience, pain, and attention to detail—building something great doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a grind, it’s a hustle, and if you embrace the challengers, you will come out on top.
The two weeks we spent in Bali were nothing short of epic. We packed in a lot, and it wasn’t all easy, but that’s what made it all the more rewarding. In business, as in life, if it comes too easy, it’s not going to last. The real wins come when you’ve pushed through the tough times, learned from the setbacks, and kept going no matter what.
Keep an eye out for the full vlog of our Bali adventures—there’s so much more to share. And remember, another million-dollar day is just around the corner, but it’s not going to come without a fight. Embrace the journey, tackle the challenges head-on, and keep grinding—because that’s where the real gold is.

This Week’s Question:
This week, I was asked a really interesting question that a lot of entrepreneurs grapple with:
“Should I focus on building a personal brand or a company brand if I want to scale my business?”
It’s often tough call and one that can seriously impact your growth, affecting everything from your marketing strategies to your customer relationships. To tackle this question, you’ve got to weigh the pros and cons of each approach and figure out which one lines up better with your long-term goals.

Matt’s *No Bollocks* Answer
Let’s talk about what really matters when it comes to scaling your business: your personal brand. I’m convinced that the personal brand is more important than the company brand. Why? Because people engage with people, not just faceless companies. They want to see the face behind the business. Take Apple, for example—it's always Apple and Steve Jobs or Tim Cook. Tesla? It’s Tesla and Elon Musk. The personal brand of these leaders has a huge impact on their companies.

So, if you have a business, sure, you’re going to have a corporate brand anyway. That’s a given. But if you ask me where you should be putting most of your energy, it’s on your personal brand. Go all in on it. That’s what your customers will connect with. Your personal brand has the power to transcend your current business. If you sell the company or move on to something else, you’ve still got that audience who trusts you and is ready to follow you to your next venture.
In essence, while a company brand is important, it’s your personal brand that truly resonates with people and drives engagement. Build that, and you’ll have something that can grow beyond any single business, something that lasts.
Don’t forget, if you want a black-and-white, no-bollocks solution, I’m here to help you avoid the mistakes I’ve made in my years of owning businesses. I have lived and learned, and now I want to share my knowledge with you. Book a call here.
